Leaving Terrain
No one in the written history of civilization has left Terrain, the only known continent on the planet. Of the dozens of attempts, only death seems to have greeted those adventurers who have braved the Bierstadt Mountains and ventured beyond. Many of the past attempts have been by boat. After several months of lugging raw material across mountain tops, and weeks of building a seaworthy ship, their hopes of success have all been literally dashed against the shore by the turbulent ocean. Undertakings by airship have also all met with disaster in the constantly stormy skies above the mountains. The crew of the H.M.A.S. Wyeth is not deterred.
