Blossom Canyon  (8.5X11 inches double-matted)

The river islands of Blossom Canyon stretch unbroken for miles. The inhabitants of these island are dragon scavengers. These semi-aquatic animals are elegant in flight as well as daredevil divers. From the great heights of the cliff sides they can dive deep into the cold river below and swim down to its refrigerated depths. There they scoop up the preserved carcasses of fish that have died after spawning. They and the islands they live on reek from an overwhelming stink no man will go near. These dragons are still admired for their beauty and grace  in flight, so admired that they are a symbol for a nation of people -- people that cannot stand to be anywhere near them.
